Metalhead Brodie is sent to live with his Christian aunt and uncle and meat-head cousin after his drug addicted mother is sent away. Brodie seems unable to fit in, until he meets the mysterious Zakk at a record store. Joined by their love of metal, the two form the metal band Deathgasm, along with fellow outcasts Dion and Giles.
Buckets of blood and crazy horror rigs made this low budget horror a real pleasure to work on. With a whirlwind of onscreen effects and rigs, Jason Lei Howden's debut film was a masterclass in schlock horror. With a good mix of practical and VFX, the end result showed how to make the most of the limited resources we had on this film.
