After his tribe is slaughtered through an act of treachery, the teenage son of a slain Maori chieftain looks to avenge his father's murder and bring peace and honor to the souls of his loved ones.
Main Reactor was approached to produce all the ancient weapons for this Maori period epic. With hand carved weapons and background elements, we went on to make more than 100 stunt and hero weapons, in traditional materials: wood, bone, ponamu, onyx, weaving and feathers.
Alongside the traditional weaponry, we also populated the background with shrunken and decapitated heads and other horror rigs and limbs.
A fantastic mythical job with a raw and real edge.
